Privacy
policy.
We collect as little as possible, explain what we do collect, and never sell personal information. This page describes the practices that apply to kabetur.info.
Last updated: October 1, 2026
1. Who we are
Kabetur (“Kabetur”, “we”, “us”) publishes educational personal-finance journalism at kabetur.info. For privacy questions, contact hello@kabetur.info.
2. Information we collect
Information you give us
- Email address when you subscribe to The Sunday Ledger or contact us.
- Name, email and message content when you use the contact form or email the desk.
- Optional information you choose to include in a message, such as a story title or a link.
Information collected automatically
- Technical data such as browser type, device type, approximate region, referring page and pages viewed. This is aggregated and is not used to identify you.
- Local storage on your device may record that you have subscribed or dismissed a prompt. This stays in your browser and is not transmitted to us.
What we do not collect
We do not ask for and do not want account numbers, card numbers, passwords, government identifiers or any other sensitive financial information. Please do not send these through the contact form.
3. How we use information
- To send the newsletter you asked for, and to manage your subscription.
- To answer messages, corrections and story tips.
- To understand which stories are useful so we can plan future coverage.
- To keep the site secure, prevent abuse and diagnose technical problems.
- To comply with legal obligations where they apply.
We rely on your consent for newsletter communications, our legitimate interest in operating and improving the publication, and legal obligation where applicable. You can withdraw consent at any time.
4. Cookies and similar technologies
Kabetur uses a minimal cookie footprint. Essential cookies or local storage may be used to remember interface state, such as whether a panel was opened. Analytics cookies, if used, are configured to avoid identifying individual visitors and to respect browser privacy signals where supported.
You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking all cookies may affect some interactive features but does not prevent you from reading stories.
5. Advertising and third parties
The site may display advertising served by third parties. Ad partners may use cookies or similar technologies to limit repetition and measure performance. Where required by law, we ask for consent before non-essential advertising technologies are used. We do not control the privacy practices of third-party advertisers; please review their policies.
Our pages may link to external sites, including government agencies and consumer resources. Once you leave kabetur.info, this policy no longer applies.
6. Email and newsletter
Newsletter subscriptions are handled by an email service provider acting on our instructions. Your email is used to deliver the newsletter and manage unsubscribes. Every issue includes an unsubscribe link. We do not rent, sell or share subscriber lists with advertisers.
7. Data retention
Contact messages are kept only as long as needed to resolve the query and maintain editorial records. Newsletter data is kept until you unsubscribe or request deletion. Aggregated analytics are retained for a limited period and then discarded.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you.
- Correct inaccurate information.
- Request deletion of your information.
- Object to or restrict certain processing.
- Withdraw consent for marketing communications.
- Lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.
To exercise any of these rights, email hello@kabetur.info with “Privacy request” in the subject line. We may need to verify your identity before acting. We aim to respond within 30 days.
9. Children
Kabetur is intended for adults and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided information to us, contact us and we will delete it.
10. International visitors
The site is accessible worldwide. Information may be processed in countries other than your own. Where data is transferred, we take reasonable steps to ensure appropriate safeguards are in place.
11. Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect information in transit and at rest. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a breach affects your personal information, we will notify you where required by law.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the site or the law changes. The “last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be noted on the site.
